The weekend of October 26th-28th saw BMB attend their first major LAN event, Sacramento Intel LANFest 2012. The crew competed and played multiple games including Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty. The LAN started up Friday night seeing BMB warming up and scrimming in CS:GO. Saturday is when the real action begin. Justin “NeMustang” Yaeger organized a StarCraft 2 competition for the entire LAN to participate in. Five Members of BMB competed with James “Venom” Weaver being the sole member to make it out of the first round. James went 2-1 posting a respectable result in the single elimination tournament. Next up was CS:GO, all 7 attending BMB member participated in various teams.

BMB Started strong beating their first two opponents 16-0 on De_Dust 2 and 16-1 on De_Train. Next up was a match on De_Inferno against the team ‘Panty Rodgers.’ BMB took the early lead on CT 9-6 before blowing it on T side and losing the match 16-10. Now in the lower bracket the clan faced off against semi-pro player kLuskY and his team ‘Sacramento Swole Patrol.’ BMB was thoroughly schooled in CS during this match, and was bounced from the tournament, losing 16-3. Overall, the clan went 2-2 in their first LAN event.
- Joe “FlameHeart” Weaver
Joe was a ringer in another of the 15 teams competing in the tournament. The team didn’t fare too well, bombing out of the tournament 0-2. The bright spot was Joe, who performed well, topping the team in frags during both games.
- Tim “Stinger” Yaeger, Jr.
Tim joined up with a prestigious clan named IMBA Gaming. Along with another ringer, IMBA tore through the winners bracket, making it all the way to the LAN finals. In the finals, IMBA faced off against Sacramento Swole Patrol. Tim represented BMB well in a heated final battle that saw IMBA lose to Swole 16-12.
BMB would like to congratulate all winners during the Sacramento Intel LANFest 2012. It was a great experience for BMB, where they were able to connect with other games, as well as gain valuable LAN experience for the future. BMB would also like to thank the volunteers and organizers that made LANFest possible! You will next be able to see BMB.CS competing in the 13th ESEA season in the CS:GO Open division.
